NEW BUFFALO — The New Buffalo Township Board approved two final special land use permits for adult-use marihuana retail establishments during its April 15 regular meeting.
OK’d were SLU permits for CSAB Green LLC (at 11235 M-239 near the intersection with Wilson Road, where the dispensary will operate as King of Budz and was slated to open April 16 according to the company website); and for JARS Ventures (JARS Cannabis – New Buffalo at 19799 U.S. 12, the former site of the Lazy Perch restaurant near the state line, also scheduled to open on April 16).
Four marijuana-related businesses have now received final SLU permit approval in New Buffalo Township, with two of them already open – the URB Cannabis Super Store and Bloomery Cannabis New Buffalo (both located on O’Brien Court near I-94 Exit 1.
The Township Board on April 15 also approved a pair of preliminary adult-use marihuana retail establishment special land use permits for Mitten State Engineering LLC at 18350 U.S. 12; and for Larry Hanna, EMS Holdings LLC at 19333 M-239.
Approximately 50 applications have been submitted for adult-use marihuana establishments in the township.
