Gloucester Township’s Planning Board adopted a resolution last week allowing Unity Rd SNJ, LLC to develop the retail dispensary on 2751 Sicklerville Rd.

The dispensary will be locally owned by brothers Fred and Steve Vicaro and their wives, Kelly and Jude. The local families have developed a partnership with Unity Rd. — a cannabis-dispensary franchiser.

The Gloucester Township location will not be a franchise, Fred Vicario told Patch. But under a management-services agreement, Unity Rd. will support and guide the local business.

It will take some time before the business can open, since owners are working to finalize some of the approvals required to operate a dispensary. Architectural plans are also in development for the currently vacant property.

The dispensary will have a 4,290-square-foot floor area and a drive-thru lane, according to the resolution adopted by the Planning Board on April 9. It will have about 35 parking spaces.

The 2.41-acre property is located by the intersection of Sicklerville and Hickstown Roads — part of the Highway Commercial Zone, where the township allows approved cannabis retailers to operate. Nearby businesses include Wawa, the Caliber Collision auto-repair
