Dispensary opens in Soulard despite pushback – First Alert 4

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A new Soulard dispensary is now open despite pushback from a nearby charter school and neighbors.

Last year, First Alert 4 reported about Kind Goods wanting to open its dispensary on South Broadway.

The problem for some was that it sits near a school.

Kind Goods is now open inside the old Jimmy John’s location, across the street from Lift for Life Academy.

Back in 2020, the board of aldermen removed a distance requirement for dispensaries.

However, a new bill has been introduced that would increase that requirement to 500 feet if a dispensary is near a church or school.
