Burlington cannabis shop owner highlights the local market – Local 22/44 News

Burlington, VT– As cannabis continues to be woven into the fabric of Vermont’s agriculture and consumer markets, one dispensary owner in the Queen City is sharing his efforts to keep the local cannabis culture alive.

Josh Decatur is the owner of Heybud, a Burlington-based dispensary. He says his company aims to take a community approach to everything it does.

Located on Maple Street, the shop offers a selection of cannabis products made by local farmers. For Decatur, it has always been a dream to get into the cannabis industry, and being a Vermont native, he says he has strong feelings about the culture of cannabis in the Green Mountain State.

“We really see this dispensary as hopefully becoming more and more of a community dispensary,” Decatur says. “We’re still a very small business but we’re trying to create an economy around cannabis here in the state that really supports farmers.”
