Two men from Georgia were found with multiple weapons and drugs during a traffic stop.
On April 8, 2018, at approximately 3:15 p.m. Troopers performed a traffic stop on a 1981 Volkswagon Vanagon for violations of the vehicle and traffic law on the Taconic State Parkway in the Town of Pleasant Valley.
An investigation determined that the operator of the vehicle, identified as Jonathan A. Rozier, 23, of Social Circle, GA, possessed approximately 5.8 grams of marijuana.
Further investigation found the passenger in the vehicle, identified as Austin G. Liddell, 21, of Sugar Hill, GA was illegally in possession of a CMMG 7.62×39 mm rifle, a Winchester 12-gauge shotgun, a Ranger .22 rifle, a Glock (model 20) 10 mm semi-automatic handgun, and a switchblade knife.
Rozier was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Pleasant Valley Court.
