Fitchburg dispensary distributes pies ahead of Thanksgiving – Sentinel & Enterprise

FITCHBURG — Community members took home more than cannabis products at Atlantic Medicinal Partners on Sunday — they were treated to free pies just in time for Thanksgiving.

“Given the crazy inflation, especially on food prices, we wanted to give back to our neighborhoods as a local business,” AMP Vice President Elizabeth Cieri said of the 1,000 pies total distributed at their dispensaries in Brockton and Fitchburg. “We hope this small gesture helps our neighbors during tough times…and are so excited to give back in this way.”

Karyn Greenawalt, human resources coordinator for the recreational and medical cannabis company, and receptionist Carrie Mills greeted everyone who walked into the Crawford St. location with a smile and asked if they would like a blueberry, pumpkin, or sweet potato pie from partner Table Talk, the recognizable Worcester based pie company.

“It’s been a tough year, it’s a good time to give out pies,” Greenwalt said. “People’s eyes light up. It’s just a little pie but it means a lot.”
