Fine Fettle buys Old Saybrook property for dispensary; construction … – Hartford Business Journal

Fine Fettle has purchased a property for its upcoming dispensary in Old Saybrook, according to land records and the broker who negotiated the deal.

Fine Fettle purchased the 4,920-square-foot retail building at 233 Boston Post Road on Aug. 2, for $861,702 from Sisyphus LLC, according to town records. The site will be one of several new Fine Fettle adult-use cannabis dispensaries planned in Connecticut, joining the company’s four existing marijuana retail shops in the state.

Ben Zachs, COO of Fine Fettle, said construction is currently underway on the 1.2-acre property in Old Saybrook with an expected opening date sometime in mid-December. The company had permits for the facility approved earlier this year.

Fine Fettle plans to operate a 2,600-square-foot recreational marijuana dispensary at the property, which will also have 1,400 square feet of vacant space and 1,000 square feet of storage space above the retail shop.

In addition to Old Saybrook, Fine Fettle is planning another adult-use cannabis dispensary in Norwalk. After Norwalk opens, the company will have six marijuana retail sites in Connecticut, in addition to its upcoming cultivation facility in Bloomfield.
