With new owners, a new name and new branding, dispensary owners, Anthony and Megan White, aim to focus on community after launching their new business in Comanche.

On Aug. 18, Higher Remedies Dispensary hosted its grand opening after taking over the business in April 2023. The couple has worked continuously to get the business up and and operational.

The need for opening their own business came from wanting to stay local and be more involved with their kids.

Anthony White said he’s worked in construction and traveled around quite a bit, but he wanted to spend more time with his kids while they were growing up and go to more of their junior high and high school sporting events.

To avoid the time conflict and being out of town a lot, the couple talked about going into business for themselves. Then, after seeing the dispensary for sale across the street from Megan White’s business, Headdress Salon, the new business opportunity became more of a possibility.

Anthony White said he’s talked about operating his own business for a while and soon took the preliminary steps
